Tammikuun runo

Vuoden 2011 ensimmäinen kuukauden runo toivottaa kevään tervetulleeksi ja juhlistaa uutta tietokantaamme LIONia - Literature Online, the home of literature and criticism. 
Tampereen yliopiston opiskelijat ja henkilökunta voivat käyttää LIONia yliopiston ip-alueella
olevilla koneilla  ilman kirjautumista Nelliin. Yliopiston ulkopuolelta LIONia pääsee käyttämään kirjauduttuaan kirjaston tiedonhakuportaaliin NELLIin.

1   There is not in the wide world a valley so sweet
2   As that vale in whose bosom the bright waters meet ³ ;
3   Oh! the last rays of feeling and life must depart,

Kuinka runo löytyikään LIONista?
Koska LIONista voi hakea runon nimen mukaan - oli runo helppo löytää..
Tekstejä voi hakea mm. kirjailijan nimen mukaan, runokokoelman nimen mukaan...

LION on erityisesti englannin kielen ja kirjallisuuden tietokanta, joka sisältää myös muita kieliä koskevaa kirjallisuudentutkimusta.

LIONissa on 320 kokotekstilehteä kirjallisuuden ja kulttuurintutkimuksen aloilta sekä englannin kielen ja kirjallisuuden tietokanta ABELL (Annual Bibliography of English Language and Literature) vuodesta 1920 alkaen.
